Founded in 1983, by Vitor M. Soares, Vitor’s Alternator & Starter Co. has serviced the surrounding community for 40 years. In 1989, Vitor acquired half of its neighboring business Rudy’s Armature Service, which had at that point been in business since 1936. This allowed them to be the sole back end (supplier to Rudy’s Armature as well as continue to do business with the client base they had built until then. This thirst for expansion culminated in 2000 with Vitor’s Alternator & Starter Co. purchasing the remaining half of Rudy’s Armature Service. Thus, and in respect of the history of their predecessor, Rudy’s & Vitor’s V.A.S. Co., Inc. was born.
